Now in its seventh year, the museum’s thrice-yearly art party offers late-night access to the galleries, plus libations, snacks and dancing. This season’s reception will feature Elephant 6 musician, Cloud Recordings label owner and Wuxtry mainstay John Fernandes, along with his sons, Kiran and Ravi, who will offer a mixture of live performance and DJ tunes. The museum’s newest exhibitions, “Women of the WPA” and “Larger Than Life: Mural Studies,” take a deep look at historical projects created as part of President Franklin Roosevelt’s New Deal programs, while “Our Town and Beyond: Works by Early Members of the Athens Art Association” offers a 100-year survey of local artwork.
