Several ceramicists from the Athens Area Potters group will host concurrent events this Saturday. For the very first time, Michele Dross will host a sale of her eclectic porcelain pieces depicting narrative line drawings at her backyard studio, located at 515 King Ave., while Juana Gnecco hosts an open studio at Normaltown Pottery, located nearby at 410 King Ave. Nancy Green will also host an open studio at 1500 Tappan Spur Rd. to see new work, view the artist's private ceramic collection, and meet Cash, the resident studio dog. Keeping up a tradition of an open house on the first Saturday of every month, Southern Star Studio, located at 180 Cleveland Ave., will share new works by artists Maria Dondero, Regina Mandell, Allya Maerz, Brandon Bishop, Kerry Steinberg, Chona Leathers and Alex Wilkins. Lori Demosthenes of Rose Creek Pottery and Marci Mendel White of Mendelwhite Ceramic Art will co-host a sale nearby in Watkinsville at 1051 Rose Creek Dr.
