Established in 2004 as a local collective of visual artists, musicians and burlesque performers, Gonzoriffic offers a feminist twist on the horror and DIY film industries. Often written, directed or produced by women, the collection of short films typically center around audacious and empowering roles for women characters. This year’s lineup includes Nerd Box, The Last Person on Earth, Supermoon, Annabelle Terror of Darkness, Vincent Price’s Skull and The Ghost of Me. In addition to guest filmmaker Henrique Couto’s Stirring, the program also features the installment of the Bad Girl Dracula trilogy, which was directed by Gonzoriffic co-founder Andrew Shearer.
The underground film collective presents a program of locally made cinema including "Nerd Box," "Vincent Price's Skull," "Supermoon" and more. See Calendar Pick on p. 15.
