As one of the largest, most diverse shows of the year, you can expect to see everything from painting, photography and printmaking to sculpture, ceramics and textiles at the “45th Juried Exhibition.” This year’s artwork was selected by guest juror Larry Ossei-Mensah, a Ghanaian-American curator and cultural critic from the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit. Ossei-Mensah visited Athens in January to evaluate an astounding pool of 711 pieces submitted for consideration by 278 local artists., whittling the entries down to 199 works by 144 artists. A different group of artists will lead gallery talks every Thursday in April at 6 p.m., and the exhibition will remain on view through May 2.
