Not only is Flagpole's website back up and running again (with a new comments format) and Grub Notes back to blogging again to supply you with up-to-the-minute news, but the Westside Transmetropolitan is reopening next Friday, after completing repairs to the giant hole in its building caused by a car (or possibly the Kool-Aid man, depending on your meme preference).
Also open, as mentioned at the end of the last column, is Sips, a little café on Prince that's basically a Jittery Joe's but with some slight differences. It's owned by the same family as Agua Linda and Los Compadres and has a beautiful metal sign created by local artist Beverly Babb.
