Local startups and entrepreneurs will have a free chance to network and learn how to expand their businesses during the first-ever five-day Athens Startup Week today through Friday, Apr. 1.
The week is dedicated to inspiring local business and strengthen the already-existing entrepreneurial community.
Educational breakout sessions, networking opportunities, cocktail hours and other activities will be hosted by local entrepreneurial spaces around Athens. Lectures and breakout sessions on funding, utilizing local resources, marketing and management will be some of the topics touched on.
The scheduled events target local entrepreneurs for education and networking while also celebrating the startup spirit in Athens. Attendees will get the chance to establish relationships with business mentors, funders, service providers and local talent.
The week will start with a cocktail hour kickoff at the new North American headquarters of Docebo, an online learning platform for businesses and their employees, located in downtown Athens.
The majority of events on the schedule will be held in the downtown area. Event venues around town will provide work stations and shared meeting spaces. To see the full schedule events and stay updated on any changes, visit athensgeorgia.startupweek.co.
