How Athens Landed Voxpro

Amy Lopp at the Athens-Clarke County Economic Development Department wrote an article for the department's website last week detailing how Irish customer-service contractor Voxpro decided to open a call center in Athens that will employ 500 people.
Mostly, it was a bunch of wining and dining corporate executives. But it's still an interesting inside look at the economic development game—and just how little even government officials know about the companies they're recruiting.
