Megabus Adds Athens–Charlotte, D.C. Routes
The occasionally maligned discount transit company Megabus will offer service from Athens to Charlotte, NC, Richmond, VA and Washington, DC starting Sept. 10.
Buses will depart from the Multimodal Center at 8 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. except on Sundays, when they leave from the UGA East Campus parking deck.
Megabus currently runs between Athens and Atlanta, Columbia, SC, Durham, NC, and Fayetteville, NC.
Fares are as low as $1 when booked well in advance. Schedules and tickets are available here.
