The Clarke County School District just announced that schools will be closed tomorrow (Tuesday, Jan. 7), presumably due to the fact that Athens is transforming into Antarctica. (What global warming, amirite?) So feel free to lay there like a slug if you want to.
Also, if you're curious whether it's snowing in Athens, here's a handy website.
UPDATE: Athens-Clarke County "non-emergency work stations and services" will be closed until 10 a.m.
UPDATE 2: "Barring unforeseen circumstances, the University of Georgia will be open on a regular schedule on Tuesday, January 7, 2014. Faculty, staff and students are urged to take appropriate measures in preparing for school and work on Tuesday given the cold weather that is forecast," UGA has announced.
UPDATE 3: CCSD will be open as usual tomorrow (Wednesday, Jan. 8).
