Columnist Lied About Gun Laws
Hopefully the ignorance of the law exhibited by retired professor Donald E. Wilkes, Jr. in the May 8 issue is not typical of the University of Georgia law faculty! There is NO "gun show loophole" in the current laws!!!!
Licensed dealers who set up at a gun show must do the same background check they would do in their store. Individuals may sell to another individual without a background check, whether at a gun show or to their neighbor or a relative.
Professor Wilkes showed his bias against the Second Amendment, and it is shameful that he was allowed to mislead the public by publishing his lie in Flagpole.
