Adult Swim Funhouse Debuts in Athens Saturday

You may have noticed an increased level of activity on the westernmost block of Washington Street over the last day or two. It all owes to the Adult Swim Funhouse, a mysterious new venture from the hip, Atlanta-based Turner subsidiary, which makes its debut in Athens this weekend.

From the press release:

The Adult Swim Funhouse takes fans on a truly one-of-a-kind experience. Tucked inside a mobile magic castle, the funhouse features a dozen rooms and activities that will delight and puzzle guests.  Unique experiences will be themed after popular Adult Swim shows Robot Chicken, Loiter Squad, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Black Dynamite, Metalocalypse, Superjail, Squidbillies, and Childrens Hospital. The multiple paths and room challenges will force guests to crawl, dance and sing their way to get to the end.

With more than 15 different paths fans can take, each trip through the funhouse will be different than the last. Once a guest has finally emerged from the funhouse, they can print out a photo from their experience, pick out a free custom printed T-shirt, hang out in the beer garden (21 and up only), and share the whole experience with friends.

The funhouse, which has taken over the block between the 40 Watt Club and Trappeze Pub, was set to open this afternoon at 4, but will now open tomorrow (Saturday, Apr. 20) at 12 p.m. due to today's shitty weather.
