AthFest Educates has announced that the next application period for its mini-grant program will begin Monday, Nov. 11 and go through Sunday, Nov. 24. Local public schools and educational entities are encouraged to apply for one of the $250–$1,000 grants, which are intended to fund music and arts-related programs and projects.

Fall 2013 recipients included a handful of local schools and other organizations

From the press release:

To date AthFest Educates has given away over $150,000 in grants to local schools and community programs to encourage their arts and music educational efforts. Past grants have funded classroom trips to performances and museums, scholarships to music camps and programs, instruments for schools and libraries, and music and arts related technology for schools.

Jared Bailey, director of AthFest Educates says grants help provide, “that extra boost to help make music and arts programs more successful and more accessible to more people. It’s what AthFest Educates is all about, and we welcome anyone doing any kind of music or arts-based project in our community to be creative and submit an application.”

Got it? Good. Apply here.
