Ike & Jane, the popular Normaltown restaurant known for its housemade donuts, breakfast sandwiches and lunch offerings, will close at the end of the month, according to a post made Saturday on Instagram.
The restaurant marked its 10th anniversary earlier this year.
No reason for the closing was given, but the building at 1307 Prince Ave. sold in late July, according to tax records.
"We are going to miss being a part of the Normaltown community," says owner Corie Jacobs, adding, "We never wanted this. We are so proud of what we have built, and the community support for us the last couple of days has been amazing. We are endlessly grateful for this community. Some of our staff has been with Ike & Jane for over 10 years, and personally I am so proud of the work they have done and the way they have handled themselves."
Jacobs says she doesn't know if the store will seek a new location or continue to do catering. Her main focus right now is ensuring that her staff land on their feet.
