Rejoice/Despair: Pumpkin Spice Season Is Upon Us
The temperature has dipped below 100 degrees, so it must be fall.
Another sign: Terrapin is the first local beverage maker out of the gate with a pumpkin-spice product.
Pumpkinfest (5.5% ABV) is brewed with six kinds of malt, two hops, cinnamon, ginger, allspice, cloves, nutmeg and pumpkin. It’s available now in six-packs and kegs. An official release party is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 28.
For those who prefer a caffeine buzz, Starbucks will start selling its ubiquitous pumpkin spice lattes on Sept 8.
