The lineup for this year's sophomore installment of the Athens Intensified festival, two days of music happening down at the Caledonia Lounge, has been announced. Organizer (and longtime Flagpole columnist) Gordon Lamb reveals that the event will take place Oct. 25–26 and will be headlined by DJ Andy Rourke (the former Smiths bassist) and Maserati, respectively.
Others performing at this year's Intensified are Chicago psych-rockers Cave, Atlanta punks Georges Bataille Battle Cry and locals Monsoon, Programs, Tonda, TaterZandra, murk daddy flex and one more to be announced.
The full schedule is available on the Athens Intensified Facebook page. Tickets for Friday are $15, Saturday is $10 and a full-weekend pass will run you $20. You can pick up tix at Wuxtry Records downtown or via the AI website beginning tomorrow, Friday, Sept. 13.
