Anyone who's caught the Drive-By Truckers in concert knows that the band puts on one hell of a show. On Oct. 30, all will be able to experience the mad, whiskey-fueled magic via a 35-track live record, the aptly titled It's Great to Be Alive!

Alive! was recorded by longtime Truckers associate David Barbe during a three-night run at San Francisco's storied Fillmore, and features material spanning the Truckers' two-decade career.

NPR's Ann Powers reports:

The set boasts favorites from every point in the Truckers' career, starting with Cooley and Hood's early band, Adam's Housecat, and going all the way into material from its excellent 2014 album English Oceans, including an epic version of "Grand Canyon," the band's gorgeous ode to the late Craig Lieske, who was the band's tour merchandise man for a decade, and who died in 2013. It's Great To Be Alive! will be out October 30, and though it's not quite as perfect a Truckers experience as seeing the band live a dozen times over the years, it's pretty close.

The album will soon be available to pre-order from the Truckers' site. Check out a live version of the Mike Cooley-penned The Big To-Do standout "Birthday Boy":
