Athens-based alt-rock band Grand Vapids has quickly established itself as a force on the local scene, gigging tirelessly and releasing a fantastic debut LP, Guarantees, earlier this year (Flagpole review).
Today, we're pleased to premiere a video for the album's lead single, the thunderous "Adequate."
Says guitarist Austin Harris of the clip, directed by Patrick Morales (The Viking Progress, Bronze Brain):
Patrick came up with the concept and really produced and shot this. The idea was to create these paper mache heads in suits that chase this character around from first-person POV only to reveal at the end that he's been changed into the very thing that he was running from. It's a nightmare of sorts. It was a lot fun to do and was shot completely in one take as Patrick ran around with his cell phone all over his farm shouting direction to everyone.
Also: In case you missed it, Grand Vapids is nominated for two Flagpole Athens Music Awards, in the Rock and Album of the Year categories. Click here to vote.
