After initially teasing a February release, Athens/Atlanta power-pop crew The Shut-Ups are finally officially dropping their anticipated comeback record, Just Another Generation, this Friday. The album's first single, "Don't Get Me Started," is already available to stream on the group's Bandcamp page, and today we're excited to premiere a video for its earworm of a follow-up, "We're Gonna Waste Your Time."

The Shut-Ups' new album has been in the works since way back in 2009, with the late Bill Doss serving as an engineer for part of the recording process. "Just Another Generation is a power-pop micro-aggression against the notion that we are masters of time rather than vice versa," reads a press release, with frontman Don Condescending adding, "It isn’t lost on us that due to various complications, our 'Time' album took us about eight years longer to make than anyone thought it would."

The ever-cheeky five-piece gets highly literal with its video for "We're Gonna Waste Your Time," telling Flagpole and viewers, "Don't say you weren't warned."
