Flagpole Premieres! WereWyatt: Everything I Touch Will Eventually Be Thrown Away EP

Stream the Werewolves frontman's new EP in its entirety

Welcome to Flagpole Premieres!, a recurring feature where we debut new material from local artists. Today, we bring you a new four-song EP from Werewolves frontman Wyatt Strother.

Here's a brand new EP from Werewolves frontman Wyatt Strother—aka WereWyatt—called Everything I Touch Will Eventually Be Thrown Away. It's a quirky, caffeinated collection of downerist folk-pop that's not too different from what we've heard from Strother in the past—but just as good as anything the dude has done. Which is to say, extremely good.

Strother explains the idea behind the EP and the vision he has for his label and home studio:

[I]t's four songs that I had lying around, that I didn't want to use for Werewolves, but I decided to record them all by myself to kind of show-case and promote the new Athens Horse Party home recording studio. My home-based CD label is having a kind of 2012 reboot and I'd like to start reaching out to other local musicians and offering affordable services in terms of quick-duplicating CD-Rs on the cheap, and also giving bands that want to record stuff a cheap DIY venue to get some decent-sounding tracks made. We'll be launching a new website soon and everything.
