Stream New T. Hardy Morris: 'OK Corral'

Below, stream "OK Corral," the first single from T. Hardy Morris' upcoming solo debut, Audition Tapes, out July 30 via Dangerbird Records. In this setting, the Dead Confederate frontman showcases a more intricate side of himself; "OK Corral" takes cues from '60s psych-pop and rambling alt-country, Morris' crackling voice anchoring the warm tune.

The album is a highly nostalgic set of songs based on Morris' love of his home state, and to raise awareness of the Georgia Trust's Places in Peril program, which "seeks to identify and preserve historic sites threatened by demolition, neglect, lack of maintenance, inappropriate development or insensitive public policy," Morris and local photographer Jason Thrasher will be releasing a series of videos—one for each track on Audition Tapes—over the coming weeks.

From the press release:

"I've always been more interested in the past than the future," says Morris. "I've spent my life in a South full of history; some parts worth preserving, some parts better left behind. This project focuses more on the physical remnants. These are historically significant structures from around the state of Georgia which are in particular need of awareness and repair."

Dead Confederate plays Flagpole's AthFest showcase at the Georgia Theatre this June.
