Mosaics Within Mosaics, the upcoming third album from Circulatory System, the local psych-pop band led by songwriter Will Cullen Hart, is officially out June 24 via Cloud (though rumor has it there are already some LP copies available at Wuxtry downtown). Today, you can stream the record in its entirety via NPR, who have some very nice words to say about it, too.

From the NPR post:

Any track on Mosaics Within Mosaics – and what a fitting title for such a work – bears itself capable, even proud, of such scrutiny. Hart may traffic in whimsical notions, and use pastiche as a mode of expression, but unlike most, he's plumbing the depths of how one can use the studio to orchestrate the utter bliss that pop music brings. Somewhere between Brian WilsonVan Dyke Parks, and Todd Rundgren lies the perfection of this estimable and stunning work.

Having spent some time with Mosaics Within Mosaics—which includes contributions from Neutral Milk Hotel's Jeff Mangum and Jeremy Barnes—myself, I can attest that it's a highly special, downright stunning record whose subtly psychedelic layers E6 fans are going to be unpacking for years to come.

Circulatory System celebrates the release of Mosaics Within Mosaics at the Caledonia Lounge on Friday, July 11.
