This week's new discoveries from the great beyond:
1. Joyce Manor: Never Hungover Again (Epitaph, July 22)
Nineteen glorious minutes of hooky, immaculate pop-punk for emotionally stunted grown-ups like me.
2. Stephen Steinbrink: Arranged Waves (Melodic, July 14)
This über-sharp pop-folk gem is finally available. Like Real Estate but less boring.
3. Twin Peaks: Wild Onion (Grand Jury, Aug. 5)
If you're sleeping on the Chicago garage-rock scene, you're missing out. These youngsters are the cream of a very healthy crop.
