1. UGA Olympic athletes
Twenty-eight current or former UGA students will compete in the 2016 Olympics in Brazil, which start Friday. Check out this week's Flagpole for the full list, as well as a Q&A with UGA swimming coach Jack Bauerle, who's an assistant on the U.S. Olympic team.
2. Girls Rock Athens
The local nonprofit's Girls Rock Camp kicks off today, and will culminate Saturday with a showcase at the Caledonia Lounge.
