Dexter Weaver

1. Dexter Weaver (Last week: N/A)

Fool us twice and you've got the power: Weaver made waves when he changed course yet again last week, saying his beloved soul food restaurant would indeed remain operational after another threatened closure. What will happen next? The world will just have to wait and watch.

2. Evil Acts Relief Fund Supporters (Last week: N/A)

After having their gear stolen by some heartless thieves in the Windy City, a fundraising campaign to assist local bands Vincas and The Powder Room raised over $3,000.

3. William Chamberlain (Last week: N/A)

Barkeep/Schlitzmas CEO pulled off another fun and festive weekend at Flicker despite sudsy weather. I was pretty Schlitzed up, but I do remember the bands being good.

4. Chris Conley (Last week: N/A)

Leading UGA receiver/John Mayer fan/Triple Dipper eater Conley has been making news lately—not only for his on-the-field efforts, but also for his Star Wars fanaticism. He has been spotted dressing up like a Jedi at basketball games and is reportedly planning a campus-wide lightsaber battle. This is all so weird and so great.

5. Kelly Girtz (Last week: N/A)

The Athens-Clarke commissioner saved bus riders some cheddar last week. Athens Transit had proposed a 15-cent fare increase and a 25-cent transfer fee, but Girtz pushed through a plan to nix the latter.
