CNN's Soledad O'Brien Is Bringing 'Black in America' to UGA

CNN anchor Soledad O'Brien will host a panel discussion on race and law enforcement at the Tate Center Grand Hall Tuesday at 7 p.m.

O'Brien hosts the cable news network's "Black in America" documentary series. According to the University of Georgia:

The event will feature a presentation by O'Brien in which she will highlight and discuss recent race-related events and show clips from some of her documentaries and pertinent news stories. She will also moderate a panel of experts on the relationship between law enforcement and minority communities. 

Panelists will include author Julianne Malveaux and political comedian W. Kamau Bell, both regular CNN contributors, as well as Fenwick Broyard, executive director of the Athens nonprofit Community Connection.

Tickets are available at the Tate Center cashier's window on the third floor. They're free for students with UGACards and $5 for the general public.
