School Closings and Delays for Thursday
Remember last year, when it really snowed?
It's not snowing (yet), but the Clarke County School District has already decided to shut down Thursday.
Other local school closings include:
• The University of North Georgia, Prince Avenue Christian, Athens Christian, Monsignor Donovan and Athens Academy, for the whole day.
• Piedmont College and Athens Tech will open at noon.
• Oconee County will delay classes two hours.
UGA will make a decision by 6:30 a.m., per its inclement weather policy.
Athens is under a winter storm watch until 10 a.m., but at this point, most of the sleet and snow is likely to miss us, according to Athens, GA Weather.
