Saturday's UGA Football Game Moved to Noon

Saturday's UGA football game against Middle Tennessee State, which was originally slated for a 7:15 p.m. kickoff at Sanford Stadium, has been moved to noon, according to an announcement from the UGA Athletic Association. The game will be televised on ESPNews and the ESPN app.

The move comes in response to threats posed by Hurricane Florence, which is forecast to bring wind and rain to the Southeast this weekend. Though the Carolinas are expected to receive the worst of the bad weather, on Wednesday Gov. Deal issued an emergency declaration for all of Georgia.

So, plan your weekend accordingly.

Here's the full statement from UGA Athletics:

After extensive evaluation involving the uncertainty of weather conditions on the east coast, and consideration of all constituencies involved including fans, support staff, and law enforcement, the Saturday Georgia-Middle Tennessee State game has been moved from 7:15 p.m. to a 12 noon kickoff in Sanford Stadium.

The game will be televised on ESPN News and will stream live on the ESPN app.
