We're Live-Tweeting the USA-Belgium World Cup Game
In a rare moment of national pride and in celebration of our socialist roots, a mostly bewildered Flagpole staff has decided to live-tweet this game other countries mistakenly call "football."
The U.S. takes on Belgium—a nation best known for waffles, beer and getting stomped on by the rest of Europe—at 4 p.m. on ESPN. Music editor Gabe Vodicka and I (both soccer novices) will provide the jokes. Actual soccer fan and Flagpole film critic Derek Hill will provide, like, analysis and stuff, we guess. And probably more jokes.
