Drummer Carl Palmer is a key figure in the story of progressive rock, most notably for his work with the supergroup Emerson, Lake & Palmer. He plays the Melting Point Friday, Nov. 7 with his current project, Carl Palmer's ELP Legacy, which celebrates the music of his most well-known outlet.
We've got a pair of tickets, as well as a meet-and-greet with Palmer, to give away to one lucky commenter. To enter, tell us below why you deserve the prize package. We'll choose a winner Friday at 2:30 p.m.

Anthony Little believes in a thing called love.
In the final installment of this three-part series, Little, aka Versatyle Tha Wildchyld, delves into his definition of what family means to him—and how the Wild Wolf Pack, his hip hop group consisting of young, multicultural lyricists and rappers, is a part of that extended family. "Blood doesn't make us family," Little says. "Loyalty makes us family."
Eccentric and prolific local rock group Tunabunny is reportedly prepping yet another new LP, titled PCP Presents Alice in Wonderland Jr., the follow-up to March's weird and lovely Kingdom Technology. But while they're at it, they're still churning out visual accompaniments to tracks from the last release.
Today, we're happy to premiere one such project, the video for Kingdom Technology's ethereal opening track, "Airless Spaces." The clip, which features a first-person journey through a strip mall, is as formless and yet arresting as the band's music.

Rising high above Oconee Street just east of downtown, the red-brick steeple seen above has long been known as a beacon of Athens music. The structure, on the site of the Steeplechase condominiums, is all that remains of the 145-year-old St. Mary's Church, the site of R.E.M.'s first-ever live performance in 1980 (and, at the time, the home of Peter Buck, Michael Stipe and Bill Berry).
Nashville is best known for Music Row-style country, but a burgeoning indie rock scene has been attracting national attention of late. Peace-punkers Natural Child are just one of the many bands from that contingent that have been tearing up the road with constant touring across the U.S. and the world.
I would give my left pinky to see this turn into another War on Drugs/Mark Kozelek situation. U2 guitarist The Edge tells Rolling Stone (emphasis mine):
In honor of the holiday, here's a brand new tune from Madeline. It's about this, which is pretty terrifying. Happy Halloween!
