This weekend, the Wild Rumpus Parade and Spectacle returns to downtown Athens for a 10th annual edition, inviting Athenians of all stripes and all ages to dress up, howl at the moon and celebrate Halloween for a good cause. (See The Calendar for a full schedule of events.)

This year, organizer Timi Conley invited many of the event's musical performers—some will perform along the parade route, while others will play various pre- and post-Rumpus happenings, including a kickoff party Friday at The Foundry and a pre-parade throwdown Saturday at Creature Comforts—to contribute a track to the first ever official Wild Rumpus mixtape.

Today, we're pleased to share an exclusive stream of the tape, which features tunes from Monsoon, White Rabbit Collective, Partials, Calico Vision, Burns Like Fire, Squalle and other locals. 

"It's a toothy, wooly assortment, as it should be," says Conley. "Super stoked for these great bands and artists to be contributing their energies, and honored that we are making this year's RumpyRump into a music festival as well as a parade, thanks in large part to grant funding that we received this year from GDEcD Tourism Division—wahoo, bands get paid for a change!"
