Circulatory System

They graced our cover last week, and this weekend Flagpole will follow Circulatory System up to Chicago, where the band will play the Pitchfork Music Festival (Saturday at 1:55 p.m. on the Blue Stage).

The other Athens group playing the fest is the almighty Neutral Milk Hotel, which headlines the Green Stage Saturday (no photos, please). The Chicago date is part of a short tour that will see the two bands trekking through the Midwest, to New York City and down the East Coast for a slew of sold-out shows.

In addition to these local groups, the Pitchfork lineup features heavy hitters like Beck—whose recent album Morning Phase was hailed by critics as a return to folky Sea Change form—as well as hip hop hero Kendrick Lamar, rags-to-riches indie success tUnE-yArDs, eccentric pop songstress St. Vincent, minimal techno fixture The Field and reunited '90s shoegaze project Slowdive, among many others.

Stay tuned to Homedrone for coverage of the weekend's action, including photos, recaps and more.
