Subsonics

It's the freakin' weekend, so go out and soak up some tunes. Below, Flagpole's best bets for sonic entertainment:

Friday, June 5

40 Watt Club: Atlanta underground rock legends Subsonics headline a bill that also includes local garage maniacs Free Associates, Cramps tribute act The De Lux Interiors and Tennesee's These Heathens (formerly Unkle Skunkle). This is a makeup show for Subsonics' canceled May gig.

Georgia Theatre: After years of toiling behind the scenes, country songwriter Chris Stapleton's performing career is on the come-up. Check out our preview.

Saturday, June 6

Caledonia Lounge: Philly abstract-pop outfit Pattern is Movement says goodbye after 14 years with a farewell tour. Read our feature story on the group.

The World Famous: West Virginia roots-rockers Ona preview songs from their anticipated upcoming full-length, recorded by WV engineer Bud Carroll with mixing assistance from Athens engineer Drew Vandenberg.

Sunday, June 7
