Well, we made it to Cardiff. We found the venue pretty easily (it was located across from a giant castle), pulled down a side street to load in the gear and went to find a parking garage. We killed time before the show by going to get some dinner at this cheap-ass but deceptively fancy restaurant. Then we went to a Sainsbury’s and got some snacks: digestive biscuits and whatnot. Then we walked back to the venue and played our show.
As I write this, we are making the jaunt from Liverpool to Cardiff. It’s been a couple of dayssince the last update, so let’s see what all we can remember.
We all woke up pretty late Friday and eventually left Andy and Haley's house to go find ourIndietracks hotel. We weren't sure if we'd need one, so by the time we got around to reserving it we had to get something about half an hour away. But it was pretty cheap. Not that a hotel on tour ever feels "cheap."
The last time we rented a car in the UK, they offered us a sat-nav for a huge extra charge, but there was one built into the car. We kind of banked on the same thing happening this time, and it didn't. We couldn't deal with how much it cost, so we drove to the nearest Currys and bought one for ourselves. We also stopped in Argos, which is kind of like Ikea, except that you select products from Sears-type catalogs, enter them into a computer and then get in line to pay for them. It has been in the 60s during the day so far (unexpected to someone in our party) and at one of the services we saw "summer coats" for sale. That is a thing.
Hey y'all, Eureka California (Marie and Jake) here.
Today, we're heading off to the UK, where we're going to tour for the next couple of weeks and then record our new album. We're also going to do our best to document the interesting parts of our trip for Flagpole.

Today is day number seven since I’ve made the ill-considered decision to follow these good-for-nothing kids around in their van. Seven days since I left the comfort of my own pull-out couch. Yesterday, I had chips for breakfast. For lunch, I had a cigarette. I don’t know how much more of this I can take.

Good morning everybody. This is Dale, and I’m coming to you live from having the worst sleep I’ve ever had in my life—and this is coming from a guy who sleeps in complete filth and on a mattress that I bought so long ago I think Jimmy Carter was in office. I slept on a wood floor in between two or three of these other smelly kids, cats walkin' around my head all night, I’m freezing to death. Today seems like it’ll be terrible.

Dale here again, and what a couple of days it’s been since I last posted. The boys all had the idea that we wanted to spend the Sunday off in Asheville. Naturally, they spent the whole day screwing off in Bowling Green, riding around on scooters and chasing kids around like ducks, so we didnt even get to Asheville until it was way too late—my whole medication schedule is already way outta wack. Also, a lot of my medication is missing. And these guys have been asleep since we left Kentucky.

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Dale Weiners, a man who has worn many hats, and also shoes, in his life. I just graduated from the Tijuana Online School of Journalism and Children’s Dentistry, where I got my associates degree in music reviewism and I attempted a minor in fixing children’s toothbrushes.
An excellent if unholy triumvirate of local and regional rock and rollers—Chief Scout, Heyroccoand Concord America—hit the asphalt last Friday for a two-week tour up and down the Eastern seaboard, and the bands will be filing periodic updates with Flagpole from the road.
